Whitwell quarry, Whitwell, Derbyshire, England

in the 1980's an unusual lead and vanadium deposit was discovered in N.E. Derbyshire. The deposit produced probably the best Vanadinite specimens in England. This specimen has aggregated and single spherical brown Vanadinite crystals pleasingly formed over a bed of Phosphohedyphane. Ex. P. Briscoe collection.
