Selenite `Daisy bed' Gypsum

The Eden Valley gypsum (selenite) mines produced this interesting form of gypsum with stellate groups of crystals formed around seeding points creating attractive flower like patterns - 'Daisy Bed' gypsum.
This specimen has large 30mm diameter 'flowers' and clearly shows the seeding poimt. Specimens with this unusual form are quite rare now.
