Cambokeels mine, Eastgate, Weardale, Co. Durham, England

This is one of a handful of sphalerite specimens from Cambokeels mine that i've seen, both sphalerite and galena being rare finds. One side of this miniature specimen is completely covered with small but well formed crystals of sphalerite whilst the other side has a little calcite and dolomite. Cambokeels mine closed in 1989.
