Road improvements in 1961 to the A6 at Cromford traffic lights involved blasting through a ridge of limestone known as Harp Edge. This exposed a number of mineralised cavities. This specimen is from one of these cavites and consists of scalenohedral calcite dusted with chalcopyrite crystals the latter showing surface alteration to malachite. Ex.
