Road improvements in 1961 to the A6 at Cromford traffic lights involved blasting through a ridge of limestone known as Harp Edge. This exposed a number of mineralised cavities. This specimen is from one of these cavites and consists of scalenohedral calcite dusted with chalcopyrite crystals the latter showing surface alteration to malachite. Ex. Richard Braithwaite specimen .
