Pyromorphite

Grasshill mine, Harwood, Upper Teesdale, Co. Durham, England

Pyromorphite is not common in the North Pennines and even when it occurs it is often just coatings. Grasshill mine is one of the few locations where it can be found. This specimen is a particular rich example having small but well formed crystals in numerous cavities across the specimen.
