Babingtonite

Oiaojia, Zhaotong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China

Oiaojia in China has produced some of the world's best Babingtonites and this is a choice example that came out some 10 years ago. With lustrous crystals up to 6mm, sharply formed and jet black, the specimen makes an excellent display piece of this rare specie.
