Adamite

Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico

1456

This adamite specimen was from the one-off find of rare purple coloured crystals in the 1980's.  The main cavity has sharp purple bi-coloured crystals with a little calcite.  Two smaller cavities on the specimen just contain the purple bi-coloured adamites. Visually small areas of yellow crystals appear to be arsenbrackebuschite. Weak green fluorescence in SW UV light.   Ex. Jim Knight collection.
