Fluorite

Glebe Mine, Eyam, Derbyshire, England

1429

Glebe mine is an old mine but was re-started in 1930 and eventualy connected up with Ladywash mine. This attractive large display specimen  formed from interlocking fluorite cubes to 23mm with sulphide inclusions appears to be a 'floater';  tectonic movement in the vein originally dislodging the specimen then later re-healing.of the broken back face took place.
