Fallowfield mine, Hexham, Northumberland, England

Fallowfield mine is known for its superb alstonites but I hadn't seen a calcite specimen from there before until this one turned up in Keith Snell's collection. Composed of stubby prismatic crystals up to 11mm across entirely cover the display face of the specimen.
