Frazer's Hush Mine, Rookhope, Weardale, Co. Durham, England


Bed of purple fluorite made up of edge-to-edge twinned crystals, most around 10mm across, of good transparency and lustre, Frazer's Hush mine was the last commercial mine to be worked in Weardale, finally closing in 1998.
