Bairstow's opencut produced some rich specimens of pyropmorphite but rarely ones as finely crystallised as this. A section of quartz lode is richly covered in crystals, on one end with ribs and individual yellow green crystals to about 4mm which have formed seperately from areas of slightly larger apple-green crystals.
