Aragonite

Broadwood quarry, Frosterley, Weardale, Co. Durham, England

Aragonite is quite rare in Weardale and few specimens of any specie are known from Broadwood quarry which was worked in the first few years of this century. On one side of the specimen there is an aragonite spray with crystals to 7mm formed in a cavity with quartz and siderite.
