Great Sleddale Mine, Swaledale, North Yorkshire, England


Although worldwide malachite is of common occurence it only occurs sparingly in the North Pennines. Great Sleddale copper mine is one of the few locations and this specimen shows balls and spheres of micro crystalline malachite on small pale lemon fluorite.
