Stibnite - 588

Robin Hood Mine, Thornthwaite, Cumbria, England


Robin Hood mine was one of the few localities in Cumbria where stibnite occurred.  This specimen collected in the 1970's from the small dumps at the mine shows cross-sections of bladed acicular stitbite with other sulphides in a quartz veinstone.
