Rich specimen displaying two generations of boracite, an earlier one of aggregated turquoise crystals, transparent on their edges, in part overgrown by a later generation of smaller opaque crystals. All the crystals have a tetragonal appearance although boracite is orthorhombic. The colour of boracite deepens when viewed in incandescent lighting compared to daylight
