Rogerley Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, Co. Durham, England
Rogerley quarry is best known for its fine fluorites but occasionally it turns up other species such as this aragonite specimen. The crystals are trigonal and show two periods of growth, the first producing the larger crystals and the subsequent one smaller clusters of crystals around the earlier larger ones.
