Murton Mine, Scordale, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, England


Malachite has been found in a limited number of locations in the North Pennines and occasionally a specimen turns up from the mines in Scordale. This specimen has delicate tuffs and sprays of rich green malachite crystals on micro quartz and a single cubic galena crystal.
